Privacy Policy

Your colours stay on your device

Your saved colours, Projects, notes and the source images they came from are stored on your device only. We have no user accounts, no registration and no sign-in, and we never upload your palette or your photos.

Colours read from the camera or from a photo are processed on-device. No camera frames or photos are stored by us or uploaded anywhere.

App analytics

Version 2.0 and later use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used: which screens are opened, which features are used, how the first-run introduction is completed, and whether a purchase succeeded. Firebase also records a random app-instance identifier, your device model, iOS version, app version and approximate country. It does not receive your name, email address, colours or photos, and Hue Check does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA). See Firebase's privacy information.

Version 2.0 and later also use Firebase Remote Config to adjust small parts of the app, such as how the Pro screen describes its price, without an app update.

Versions 1.x sent anonymised usage signals (for example, which screen was opened) to TelemetryDeck. These contained no personal information.

Advertising (free version)

The free version of Hue Check shows a banner ad served by Google AdMob. Hue Check asks AdMob for non-personalised ads only and does not request permission to track you. Google may still receive technical information needed to deliver and measure an ad, such as your device type and IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Hue Check Pro removes all advertising.

Purchases and subscriptions

All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Version 2.0 and later offer Hue Check Pro as an auto-renewable subscription. To confirm whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your App Store purchase records and a random, anonymous app user identifier. RevenueCat does not receive your name or email address from us. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

If you bought Hue Check Pro as a one-time purchase in an earlier version, it remains yours for life. You can restore any purchase at any time with "Restore Purchases" in the app.

Data we do not collect

Hue Check does not collect your name, email address, phone number or physical address; your payment card details; your precise location; your contacts; your photos or saved colours; or your browsing or search history.

Children

Hue Check is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date will change. For significant changes, we will include a notice in the next app update.
